We started Costa Rica Retreats in 2015 to meet more people like us! We love to travel, we love the warm waters and we love to combine all our vacations with lots of activities and fun! Each day offers new adventures like hiking, zip-lining, a boat tour, a massage or just chilling out. Having traveled extensively, this one particular spot in northwest Costa Rica is a true gem. Directly on the warm Pacific Ocean, the community has an unpretentious, luxury atmosphere. Spend a week with us and experience “Pura Vida”, the pure life.

Rich Roe
My travel bug started when my parents took our family of five around the world for 14 months. I’ve been traveling ever since and I’ve now been to over 50 countries. About 10 years ago I started to trend toward the tropical climates. In 2011 Michele and I visited Costa Rica and on that very same trip we began house hunting!
For my profession, I’ve been in the fitness industry since 1992 as a personal trainer and gym owner. I’m a wilderness First Responder and was part of the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team. Leading retreats is my dream job: meeting new people, going on adventures and coming home to a chef-prepared meal in our luxury villa. My favorite hobbies include paddle boarding, hiking, cooking and crossword puzzles. When I’m not in Costa Rica, I’m in Hermosa Beach with my wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs.

Michele Roe
While Rich gets to train all day, I work as an executive in the fashion industry. I’ve been very fortunate that my career has allowed me to visit many amazing places and stay at some of the nicest hotels in the world. I also like to travel during my vacations. While I used to love going skiing in Mammoth for the weekend, I find I now prefer a more tropical environment.
