Welcome back! For over a year now, we’ve practiced online, took care of our health, and rode out the storm. Finally it’s time to travel and have some fun.

Join our 6-day Yoga & Fitness Retreat in Costa Rica March 19-24, 2022. Jess and Colleen are collaborating on this blissful yoga retreat with intentions for you to feel inspired to awaken your inner self in a beautiful setting. After such turmoil, this is an amazing opportunity for you to dive back into the practice of yoga and mediation in order to rediscover your own tranquility and strength. Tap into your resilience on and off your mat.

Each day you will be offered a variety of yoga and fitness classes. While this retreat will be a great opportunity to deepen your practice, you will also have the chance to disconnect from the Covid routine and immerse yourself into the local culture and beautiful surroundings of this wonderful country. In addition, the food is amazing, the people are friendly and pretty soon you’ll be living the “pure vida” lifestyle that makes Costa Rica so wonderful.

Furthermore, you can customize your experience by joining excursions like kayaking, hiking and surfing and still have plenty of time to go to the beach or chill by the pool. Zero planning needed on your part, just sign up and have fun! You will be staying in the luxurious at the Santarena Hotel in the wonderful community of Las Catalinas. This coastal town is right on the Guanacaste coast and is less than an hour from Liberia International Airport. The weather in March is typically hot and dry, so get ready for a sunny getaway!

Jess Kahn

Jess is an 500hr e-ryt Yoga instructor and a Board Certified Holistic Nutrition Coach. Her passion is to help people be the best possible version of themselves. She empowers people to make good, educated and fulfilling decisions to feel their best! 

After a move to Suburban Philadelphia, Jess took her first yoga class at Verge Yoga in Wayne, PA and was hooked. Not long after, she joined the 200hr YTT program at Verge Yoga and the transformation began. She knew from this moment that she had to pay it forward to others.

Jess currently teaches in Downtown Fredericksburg and provides yoga instruction along with meditation/mindfulness coaching to the Varsity Athletes at The University of Mary Washington.  In short, she is living a passionate and empowered life.

Colleen Sullivan

Colleen began her yoga journey over 15 years ago to relieve stress from the daily pressures of life. “This practice is a gift I give myself each and every time I step onto my mat”. She wears multiple hats as a corporate 9 to 5’er, mom of two grown children, registered yoga teacher with yoga alliance (200 hr Certification), and a wellness advocate.

She is passionate about sharing health & wellness with others so they feel and perform their best, especially in the face of busy schedules and stress. She believes overall wellness is not one dimensional, rather a multifaceted approach of stress resilience practices, physical movement, and nutrition. If you’re curious about additional ways to feel more present, resilient & experience life more fully, she would love to connect with you. When not on her mat or in the yoga studio teaching, Colleen enjoys the outdoors and living an active healthy lifestyle. Tennis and travel are her other passions, a beach destination is a plus! She enjoys cooking healthy meals & spending time with family & friends.

Rich Roe

Rich, owner of Costa Rica Retreats, has been a certified personal trainer since 1994. He has taught over 10,000 1- sessions and numerous classes to celebrities, rock stars, and fortune 500 execs.  Previously he owned a gym in San Diego for 10 years and now splits his time between Hermosa Beach, CA and Costa Rica. Rich is an experienced guide who has been leading retreats since 2015. As a wilderness First Responder and formerly on the San Diego Mountain rescue team, you are in good hands with Rich.
